BiAmar: A New Expression of Loureiro
BiAmar was born in Brandara, Ponte de Lima, in the heart of the Minho, from a family vineyard planted with Loureiro. It is a Portuguese project dedicated to showcasing one of the Lima Valley’s most emblematic grape varieties through a different interpretation: a Loureiro fortified wine with a distinctive identity.
The connection with the land is at the heart of everything we do. Surrounded by old vines, green landscapes and the winemaking traditions of the Minho, BiAmar was created with the ambition of preserving Loureiro’s character while presenting the grape variety in a less conventional and more contemporary expression.
From a Family Vineyard to a Wine with Identity
The BiAmar project is deeply connected to the vineyard in Brandara, where old Loureiro vines form the foundation of our production. It is here that we follow the vineyard’s natural cycle and carefully select the grapes that give rise to the wine.
More than a geographical origin, Ponte de Lima is part of BiAmar’s identity. The climate, landscape, heritage and winemaking culture of the Lima Valley are reflected in the concept and personality of the wine.
A Different Kind of Fortified Wine
BiAmar seeks to reveal a less familiar side of Loureiro. The grape variety’s renowned aromatic character is expressed here through a wine marked by intensity, smoothness and an enveloping texture.
The result is a versatile wine designed for different occasions. It can be enjoyed chilled as an aperitif, served at the table, paired with food or used as the basis for cocktails.
